I absolutely love decorating tables for friends, especially when I get to do so at our favorite restaurant and for my oldest friend! Maria and I have been friends for 26 years and I couldn't imagine my life without her or any of her family members in it. Maria turned 30 on the 30th of October so naturally I wanted to decorate a special table for her champagne birthday! Happy 30th birthday Maria! You are one special friend and I love you!

Jason & Stacie | June 2018 | Radisson Hotel Downtown | Winnipeg MB

Venue: Radisson Hotel Downtown, Winnipeg MB
Decor & Design: Circle the Date
Flowers: Lily Stone Gardens, Rosenort MB
Cake & Cupcakes: Lilac Bakery, Winnipeg MB
Guest Favors/Napkin Ties: Sumna Kvitka, Ukraine
Entertainment: Sloohai, Winnipeg MB

Two of my dear friends tied the knot in Winnipeg this past June and I was thrilled to be able to be a part of their special day.

Jason and Stacie hold their Ukrainian heritage very close to their hearts. They are both active in the Ukrainian dance community and I was ever so lucky to have them both perform for my husband and I at our wedding last July.

The Ukrainian Catholic ceremony was ever so special, rich in tradition and symbolism. My favorite part was the choir which was a special all male choir from Winnipeg called the Hoosli Ukrainian Male Chorus. All heads turned towards the back of the church as soon as they started singing. It truly gave goosebumps to hear and was absolutely incredible!

Another very special touch would have to be the napkin tie favors that Jason and Stacie gave each one of their guests. These favors were made by the charity called 'Sumna Kvitka' in Ukraine which translates to 'Sad Flower'. Sumna Kvitka was created to help bereaved families of Ukraine's heroes and was founded by a widow whose husband lost his life during a military operation during the war in the east of Ukraine. The main purpose of the charity is to help the children and families of fallen heroes, remember fallen heroes, help soldiers of ATO and to help anyone affected by the conflict in Ukraine.

If you would like more information on Sumna Kvitka, on the things that they can create for your wedding/event or how you can help please send us an e mail or visit their Facebook page which is linked to their name above in the vendors list.

Mnohoya Lita Jason and Stacie! May God grant you many happy years! ❤

Kendra & Brett | May 2018 | Swan Valley Historical Museum | Swan River MB

Venue: Swan Valley Historical Museum, Swan River MB
Decor & Design: Circle the Date
Cake: Bride's friend
Flowers: The Mushroom Patch, Swan River MB

It was a May long weekend to remember in Swan River when Kendra and Brett tied the knot at four thirty on May twentieth. The weather could not have been any better and this wonderful couple were blessed with a gorgeous wedding day celebrating with their family and close friends.

I want to take a moment to recognize the small business of 'The Mushroom Patch' in Swan River MB who provided the floral for Kendra and Brett's wedding. Earlier in the month, this small business suffered a devastating fire to their building leaving them with a loss of retail space and product. The power of a passionate and strong willed small business owner always inspires me and this case is no different. The staff of The Mushroom Patch still delivered a gorgeous product to Kendra and Brett for this wedding despite the their situation. Just another reason to support your local small businesses who constantly strive to better their communities and provide exemplary service to all who walk through their doors.

Thank you to all of the small businesses out there who work hard, long hours in order to serve our communities and a big CONGRATULATIONS to the newlyweds Kendra and Brett!
