Decorating a venue for 800 people is no easy task, but when my Ukrainian Dance group decided to host Malanka (Ukrainian New Years) I was up for the challenge! The evening was full of traditional Ukrainian food, traditional dance and the telling of the story of the spirit of 'Malanka'. I love keeping old traditions alive and am very thankful that we have such a strong and dedicated Ukrainian community here in my hometown. This night would not have been possible without the help of countless volunteers!

My best friend's birthday is on Oct. 30th. Her entire life she has always had Halloween themed birthday parties and an infamous 'Spider Cake'. As we get older it has become a bit of a running joke as to what kind of Halloween spider themed cake we should get her. Last year I decided to create a special gathering for her to celebrate her birthday and used one of her favorite movies as a theme. With a little bit of help from Creative Creations Cakes, she was completely surprised and loved the way it turned out. So as we approach Halloween I thought I would share this hauntingly fabulous table setting with everyone. Enjoy!

It's not every day that you get to help an amazing couple celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary! This was such a special event for me. Gus and Mary have been in my life since I was four years old and I was so happy to be there with them on this day. They have a beautiful history going back to their villages in Greece. True love is all that I can think of when I think of Gus and Mary. It is extremely refreshing to know that their love has stood the test of distance and time. Congratulations Gus and Mary! You are both loved very much by all who are around you. χρόνια πολλά!!
